YOU ARE NOT JUST MOM & DAD….YOU ARE PART OF THIS ORGANIZATION TOO.

The Waterford Corsairs are a non-profit/volunteer run organization.  When you sign your son or daughter up to be a member, you are also signing yourself up to help give our athletes their best season yet.  We need help both on and off the field.

On game days, play cannot begin until all volunteer field positions are covered.  If we cannot cover positions, we will have to forfeit games.  Our Board members have specific duties during our home games and are not available to cover these spots.  The majority of positions require little to no experience, and we are always willing to teach you if you are interested.  If you have a specific need or disability, please ask - we can suggest a position that would be the best fit for you.  Due to league rules, non-participant minors are not allowed on the field during games, so they cannot help with these positions.

While concession volunteers are not necessary to play a game, our concession stand brings in the majority of our team funding.  Filling these positions helps us keep our costs down and helps fund our player experiences.

Volunteer Commitment Overview:
  • 10 hours per household/family

  • $500 volunteer commitment deposit

Volunteer Deposit

  • Every family will be required to submit a deposit check in the amount of $500 for volunteer hours.  This check is separate from the individual player/cheerleader equipment deposits.

  • Deposit checks will be held until the end of the season.  If all commitments have been fulfilled, checks will be returned at the end of the season during equipment return.

  • If volunteer commitments are not fulfilled, deposit checks will be cashed.

  • NO equipment, or uniforms will be given to ANY player/cheerleader until all required paperwork and deposits have been submitted.

Commitment Information

  • Volunteer commitments are scheduled in 1 or 2 hour segments.

  • Multiple family members can volunteer during the same day or time, as long as there are open positions.  You cannot share a position and get double credit for it.

  • Some commitments can be easily done during your child’s game.  These positions allow you to watch the game while you volunteer.

  • Some commitments do not allow you to watch the game. As such, we recommend that you volunteer for the game before or after your child plays.

    • Flag families can volunteer during Freshmen games.
